The Australian Government Department of Education, Science and Training provides a range of Awards for excellence in education and training. Find out about the Dare to Lead Awards for excellence in leadership in Indigenous education.
The Excellence in Leadership in Indigenous Education Awards are open to schools who sign up and become members of the Dare to Lead coalition. The Awards are an acknowledgement of outstanding work and leadership in Indigenous education and are awarded to schools that excel across all criteria.
The criteria for the Awards are:
- Ability to demonstrate improvements in targeted outcomes for Indigenous students of 10% in Year 5 literacy and Year 12 completions
- Effective leadership
- Indigenous community involvement.
