ALEA provides support to literacy educators through access to national conferences, journals, specialist publications and resources as well as PD events organised by its twenty Local Councils around Australia. The Australian Association for the Teaching of English
The Australian Association for the Teaching of English (AATE) is operated by the eight State and Territory English teachers’ associations and focuses on the professional development of teachers through national conferences, journals and classroom resources.
