Reach for the Stars

View the National Data Summary Report and compare your classroom with classrooms all over Australia.

Each year since 2003, AAMT has provided a national data collection activity for National Literacy and Numeracy Week.AAMT logo

In 2011 students collaborated in a nationwide investigation of Australian classrooms. Once all their data was submitted and collated, a short report was produced highlighting key findings and interesting discoveries. The National Data Summary Report is on the Results page and the full data set is also available for teachers' use.

While National Literacy and Numeracy Week is now over, we will leave our activity resources up for you to use. Teachers can find activities suited to all levels - from simple counting and direct comparisons, to more complex modelling and problem solving - on the Core Activity Page, More activities page.
