Wrapping up National Literacy and Numeracy Week 2017

Thursday 14 September 2017

The time has come to farewell another National Literacy and Numeracy Week!

We would like to send an enormous thank you to all of the parents, carers, teachers and students who helped to spread the word in 2017.

As well as more than 17,000 page views on the website over the course of the week, our Facebook and Twitter accounts were tagged in some absolutely fantastic photos of students enjoying our Read for Australia books. There were also some great photos of schools taking part in the week, whether they used our Literacy or Numeracy activities, or created their own!

A thank you also goes out to The Deaf Society for their sterling work in creating the Read for Australia Auslan translation videos (viewable on our Literacy page) and of course Allen and Unwin, the publishers of The Snow Wombat and Go Home, Cheeky Animals!.

While Literacy and Numeracy Week has ended for another year, you can still enjoy our activities all year round - have fun and keep learning!
